Seems nobody ever mentions that most every politician in that room are multi-millionaires or better, the vast majority of whose wealth was extorted from the American people.

And yet somehow, the increasingly impoverished American people continue to look to them for hope, for answers, for solutions, to somehow fix the myriad problems this nation is facing.

So the politicians put on a show, dressed in pomp and circumstance, filled with niceties, empty promises, and outright lies, then pat themselves on the back while the American people join in their thunderous, self-aggrandizing applause.

And this is how liberty dies: with thunderous applause.

And somehow, the American people buy into it, yet again. It truly boggles the mind.
