Carpe Diem!

202 0

I thought it noteworthy to announce that I am once again debt-free (and not merely at “ground zero”, but with a considerable positive net worth, along with a top-tier credit score…)

My life will be changing this year, I can sense it, like a subliminal undertow. The odd thing is, I can in no way determine that it’ll change in any way that I’ve hoped/planned/worked toward for many years now. (Though I did recently renew my LLC & related business accounts for one more year, just in case…but it doesn’t seem like that’s the direction things will be going).

In the past, I spent many years working to build the life I thought I wanted; but I’ve spent the last few years working more on my Self, and the internal changes seem to be outweighing the external progress, and suddenly things are shifting in some unexpected—perhaps unknowable—way.

So, even though this blog is established and growing, and the novel is established and growing, and the online business is established and operable…still, I just don’t know. I’ve reached a point where I’m getting tired of it all, tired of beating my head against the wall trying to make things happen, and I’m having a hard time caring so much about any of it any longer. It all seems to be becoming secondary to…something else, something bigger and more substantial.

And that something is gonna happen, I just don’t know what it is (yet). Big changes, I sense. Possibly completely different than anything I’ve imagined leading up to now. But regardless, I’m ready for whatever the Universe sends…bring it on!

Carpe diem!

UPDATE 8/31/24: This week I added several thousand words to Part III of the novel (Primeval), and now estimate to be about 75% done with the section. Once Part III is roughed out, that just leaves the epilogue, and the second 2 parts of a 3-part prologue yet to write!

So, there’s that, anyway…

(And y’all might be wondering: is the mug helping? Answer: I don’t know, but it sure can’t hurt! 🙂)

“Let us therefore set out whole-heartedly, leaving aside our many distractions and exert ourselves in this single purpose, before we realize too late the swift and unstoppable flight of time and are left behind. As each day arises, welcome it as the very best day of all, and make it your own possession. We must seize what flees.”
