In the past I’ve published ways to contribute to the rescue & conservation of endangered wildlife, as well as local (Las Vegas) pet rescue & adoption; so now, in the wake of the devastating California wildfires, I wanted to publish a list of organizations that are providing aid to all those impacted: victims, animals, responders, businesses, etc.

I plan to update this list ongoing as additional information presents:


American Red Cross: donations can be directed specifically to 2025 California Wildfires

GoFundMe has created a 2024 Wildfire Relief Fund

The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is offering Childcare, Showers, Wi-Fi, food and water, parking facilities, and donated supplies storage for victims and first responders.

World Central Kitchen is donating fresh meals to victims and first responders

Airbnb is providing emergency housing for displaced wildfire victims

California Fire Foundation supports firefighters, their families, and the communities they serve

Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation is in need of firefighting supplies & equipment

Los Angles Regional Food Bank is providing food, essential supplies, and volunteers to the impacted area

San Diego Food Bank is providing food and supplies through the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank

International Medical Corps is providing emergency shelters, temporary housing, food, and medical assistance

Direct Relief is providing medical professionals, medicine, and health care

Best Friends is providing emergency assistance to animals impacted by the wildfires, along with aid to local animal welfare organizations

Salvation Army of Southern California is accepting financial donations to support evacuees and first responders

Project Hope is distributing hygiene kits to displaced families and children, supplies for shelters and health clinics, and medical professionals

Greater Good Charities is providing aid for people and pets affected by the wildfires

World Vision is supplying truckloads of emergency response supplies to churches and community partners across Los Angeles

American Humane Society is providing rescue, food & water, medical services, and critical aid and supplies to displaced animals and pet owners

Los Angeles Unified provides support for local schools, teachers, students, and their families

Baby2Baby distributes emergency supplies for children

Jewish Federation Los Angeles is providing shelter and meals for individuals, families, and institutions

Convoy of Hope is providing essential supplies such as food, water, and hygiene items

Westside Food Bank is providing food and volunteers

Planet Fitness

The fitness chain is providing people free access to locker rooms, showers, HydroMassage loungers, electrical outlets and Wi-Fi. The offer is valid until Jan. 15 at Planet Fitness locations across Los Angeles County that haven’t been impacted by the wildfires. A complete list of locations can be found here.
